This poster will present the findings from the use of GIS to analyze multiple data to plan childhood lead poisoning prevention and reduction strategies in the city of Detroit. The program analyzed the following data: 1) housing data by the year the residence was built 2.) addresses where multiple children have historically been identified with blood lead levels of 15 and greater and 3)addresses of Medicaid children under age six that have yet to receive a lead test. These data have been used to identify target areas by single addresses and Census Tract to best utilize lead prevention/reduction resources to help address these areas of greatest need.

Learning Objectives:

1)Identify the use of data in planning concise prevention/reduction strategies.
• Articulate the meaning of health data in Detroit to non-data partners.
