IPPF/WHR has created a manual called Trainer's Guide in Sexual Health. Produced in three-ring binder format for ease of use, this 500-page manual includes a wide range of participatory didactic exercises as well as fact sheets on topics including:
- Counseling - The Social Construction of Gender Identity - Sexuality and Adolescence - Sexuality - Negotiation and Safer Sex - Sexuality and Family Planning - Sexually Transmitted Infections - Training Skills and Techniques
This presentation will allow participants to become familiar with the contents, including sharing a few sample exercises. Lessons from its use in the field, and the use of other training tools with health providers, will complement the presentations by W.H.O., UNFPA, and the Ford Foundation on sexuality and sexual health, by demonstrating the real-life changes that need to be promoted if policies and programs are to be implemented in meaningful ways.
