Attitudes toward death and dying are undergoing fundamental change. SOLACE members stimulate public discourse about the end of life experience and provide education to enable people make informed choices about what they want at life's end. Their seminars and programs reach a variety of faith based and secular communities instructing participants about the general issues involved in signing a living will. This paper will give an overview of the evolution of SOLACE as a community coalition and discuss the evalution of program outcomes from 2 major education activities for professionals and non-professionals implemented by the coalition.
