Nurse Family Partnership Program: From Research to Evidence-based Public Health Nursing Practice

The Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP)is a community program that targets first time, socially disadvantaged mothers during pregnancy through the child's second birthday. The model used for the intervention has been developed and tested through three randomized clinical trials conducted by David Olds and colleagues. The NFP program is being replicated in over 150 public health practice settings.
