Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session participants will be able to:
1. Review public health burden and list important known exposure parameters related to indoor air quality, mold and moisture problems in public buildings
2. Recognized the medical importance of indoor air exposure as an important trigger and cause of allergic and toxic health reactions in susceptible individuals
3. Identify moisture building defects and indoor hygiene as an important contributor to children's health
4. Learn to evaluate cost-effectively indoor exposure following current guidelines and list the most important pathogenic fungi and bio-indicators associated with indoor health problems
5. Develop and discuss multi-disciplinary intervention strategies including remediation, control and prevention education
6. Review current public health responses and educational materials by EPA, HUD, CDC/NIOSH
7. Develop inter-disciplinary working groups and work-agendas. |
