Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the Workshop, the participant (learner) will be able to:
1. Present critical research findings that demonstrate the linkages between effective communication and enhanced health outcomes.
2. Discriminate between clinician-patient communication interactions that are effective and ineffective.
3. Describe an overview of a communication model (4E model) which includes Engagement, Empathy, Education and Enlistment.
4. Practice communication techniques using the 4E model and receive feedback from their peers. |
