Abstract #32982

Linking Efforts to Reform the Workers' Compensation System with the Campaign for a National Health Insurance Program

Dominick Tuminaro, JD, 510-525-6421, batesong@pacbell.net

Moving to a national health system would reduce but not eliminate all of the structural problems inherent in the existing state systems of workers' compensation in the U.S. Based on a brief outline of the salient problems in the current system, an initial set of recommendations for new principles to incorporate into a national health insurance model will be discussed.
