Learning Objectives: 1. Identify 2 environmental hazzards prevalent in the American Indian communities in Oklahoma. 2. Identify 3 community partners and their contribution to protecting the public that can be effective in enhancing environmental health field experience learning for baccalaureate nursing students. 3. Describe how to locate, access, and use web sites for the State government on environmental and occupational health related issues. 4. Describe the process of accessing current legislation and regulations related to environmental and occupational health. 5. Describe an assessment tool and its use to gather data related to the primary health care needs of persons during data collection on clients’ history in the primary care setting.
