Community Health Education Nursing with Enhanced Environmental Health Component for Baccalaureate Degree Nurses

Learning Objectives: 1. Describe methods appropriate for obtaining field experiences in environmental health for a high proportion of the students in the baccalaureate nursing program. 2. Describe two mechanisms to share experiences between students to maximize learning from individual experiences. 3. Describe faculty responsibilities in developing community partners to enhance the field learning experiences. 4. Describe two excellent experiences and students’ perceptions of value, and two factors affecting the student value of field experiences. 5. Identify one method of evaluation of the student field learning experience.
