The data to be presented are from two major sources: a) participants of eleven (11) NCI-sponsored 1997-98 regional conferences addressing these issues; and, b) four mail surveys conducted by the UIC- Midwest Latino Health Research, Training and Policy Center with cancer survivors, physicians and other health care providers, cancer researchers, and, representatives of community-based organizations. The presentation will end with recommendations for public policy, program planning, and for future research.
