It will focus principally on the public’s interest in three areas: 1) the value of independent, root cause investigations of chemical accidents; 2) the need for complete and well-organized information on the occurrence of chemical spills and emergencies; and 3) the development of opportunities for inherent safety changes as the option of first resort to protect public health, worker safety, and the environment. See www.csb.gov
