Intensive sexual and reproductive health case management for adolescents has been proven to be an effective pregnancy prevention strategy. A school based clinic program based in a predominantly Latino immigrant community has been in effect for several years. The school setting allows for great accessibility to services, the establishment of long-term and nurturing relationships with health educators and an on-going opportunity for youth to increase knowledge, improve attitudes and resourcefulness. The program is so user-friendly, that youth continue to seek assistance and guidance even after graduation. This presentation will discuss the importance of sexual and reproductive case management from the point of view of the adolescents receiving the services and the health educators providing services.
Learning Objectives: To promote sexual and reproductive health case management in school settings. To assess the effectiveness of sexual and reproductive health case management for adolescents.
