After an initial presentation on the history and direction of the Turning Point Initiative, a panel representing five national excellence collaboratives (Social Marketing, Public Health Statute Modernization, Leadership Development, Performance Management, Information Technology) will summarize work plans, products, and strategies for improving the infrastructure of public health.
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant (learner) will be able to: 1. Describe the Robert Wood Johnson/WK Kellogg Foundations' Turning Point Initiative. 2. Articulate the idea and organization of National Excellence Collaboratives. 3. List work plans/products for five National Excellence Collaboratives: Leadership Development; Performance Managmement; Public Health Statue Modernization; Information Technology; Social Marketing.
