Healthy People 2010 was launched last January 2000, as the nation's initiative to improve the health of all Americans by 2010. There are over 820 measures being tracked from the 467 objectives, with at least 72 percent of the measures having baseline data. DATA2010 is a Web-based system hosted by CDC WONDER that has been designed to house all the data from the 200 data sources being used to monitor the Healthy People 2010 initiative. Data are included by focus area, States, race/ethnicity, gender, socio-economic status, age, disability status, life stages (including adolescents and older adults), and urban/rural settings. Standard errors for most estimates are provided. This presentation will review the methodological issues related to the Healthy People 2010 data, as well as the features that are available in DATA2010, including: the process to query data; how to access the system; the type of information DATA2010 contains; the types of data queries and statistics that can be produced; and the options available to the users to output, export, and download the data tables it produces. In addition to a demonstration of the current capabilities of DATA2010, future features of the database will be discussed. See wonder.cdc.gov/data2010/
