The mechanization and industrialization of warfare and violence has had disastrous consequences for health in the twentieth century. The role of state policy which has lead to this deadly proliferation must be acknowledged. Science has been repeatedly co-opted in ways which have undermined public health and diverted scarce resources to military ends. This session will present examples of the health consequences of military technology including follow up contemporary developments in the bioterrorism industry, landmines, uranium mining and atomic proliferation | ||||
