In the U.S., despite a boom in treaditional economic indicators, both the number of uninsured and the costs of health care continue to rise. What are the implications for workers, union members and women? In the face of international movements for economic accountability, and in the wake of national elections in the U.S., what are the prospects for the roles the government and market forces can and should play?
