Purpose of the session is to examine the complex inter-relationships between women, violence, and alcohol. Perspectives to be discussed include the victim-perpetrator role and the impact of alcohol use by either or both the victim and perpetrator on violence, antecedents of male violence against women in sacred literature, alcohol-related violence committed against women and by women, and existing public and private prevention and treatment policies and programs that address the issues of violence against women | ||||
