This workshop will review the strategic planning process: “Road to Action”. This program was designed by the Massachusetts Prevention Center to be a simple and easy-to-use tool to help local community coalitions Road from inaction to getting things done. The Prevention Center was finding over and over again that the biggest roadblock for community groups in addressing Healthy People 2000 objectives was the inability to plan strategically. However, we found that many of the strategic planning tools available were cumbersome, time consuming, and just plain boring. The program we created incorporates a variety of interactive activities that a group can use to develop clear objectives and strategies in a matter of hours.
In our workshop we will review the program, demonstrating some of the activities, and help individuals strategize on how they can successfully implement the program in their communities.
“Road to Action” is not copy written and will be available for all participants.
