The Sisters Together Move More Eat Better program was designed as an expanded campaign effort to increase physical activity and improve nutrition among Black women in three Boston communities. Over a five year period, the program succeeded in developing partnerships with community based agencies and individuals to work together to expand community resources for women, to support action, and to promote consistent healthful messages. We share lessons learned from rigorous formative research in the development and design of innovative materials and community activities as well as evaluation findings from intercept interviews with women in the community.
